Housing

Hello
I have three female leopard geckos that are housed together at the moment. I also have a male who is living by himself for the moment because he was a little older and bigger than my females.....I'm wondering when I can put them together. I do plan on breeding my geckos eventually so I do want the 4 of them in the same enclosure. My females are 25 grams, 27 grams and 32 grams, my male is at 50 grams....I don't want him overpowering the females so I was just wondering if anyone could let me know when it would be ok to house them together. Thanks

Re: Housing

They sound a bit young to be put with a mature male. I would wait until they are a fair bit bigger before considering putting a male in.

If you do end up housing them together, make sure that the tank is large enough, plenty of hides and obstacles and plenty of food. Keep an eye on them too; my OH had 3 females together for 7 years, then one day they turned on each other and 2 got some bad injuries. So spare setups are also worth having in case you need to separate and when it comes to laying and recuperating.
