Re: 2013 Montreal Reptile Expo

I was toying with it, but its almost not worth the drive out there. It's generally TINY, but it's sometimes decent
If I can find a ride, I'll go!

Its going to be my first expo, so I'm going. It's at the Holiday Inn in Point Claire, Québec

Re: 2013 Montreal Reptile Expo

It's definately worth going to if you haven't been to an expo yet, because its in quebec there tends to be a larger variety of animals for sale then an ontario expo.
Set a budget :P Talk to the boyfriend first lol.

Re: 2013 Montreal Reptile Expo

Oh I can't buy anything at this expo. Well nothing live anyway! I may get some racks and heat lamps and various things (if they aren't too expensive)

Buying racks is really expensive. I know a local guy that makes good ones cheap
Heat lamps can also be gotten cheap locally if you know where to go

Re: 2013 Montreal Reptile Expo

I plan to attend, I have heard the the ones in Ontario are much better but I have only ever been to the expos on the the Quebec side. They are still very neat to and have always had a lot of fun. I don't think I have ever seen any racks for sale though mostly only products but you never know

Re: 2013 Montreal Reptile Expo

Depending on where you live in Ontario, the one in Montreal is just so much closer than the ones near Toronto. Its also the question of cost concerning a day trip (Montreal) vs a weekend trip (Toronto)

Re: 2013 Montreal Reptile Expo

Toronto is better done as a day trip, there just isn't enough there to justify multiple days unless your vending. (even though its a huge expo)

You generally go on the first day if you want "dibs" on some of the nicer/rarer animals, or just to see everything, and you go on the final day for the deals, and to get a good idea of whats going on.
