My new blood...

Hello all,

A couple months ago I picked up this awesome blood python off someone from kijiji. He is very healthy, looks and eats great. I just wanted to know if anyone could help me with exactly what type of blood he his ie his morph etc,
at least let me know how awesome you think he is!

Re: My new blood...

Thank you guys! His head is quite orange, I was assuming he was a borneo. Regardless bloods are awesome snakes, he was a little tense at first and struck at me quite a bit but after handling him frequently he hardly ever even hisses at me when I take him out.

Re: My new blood...

For better awnser's we could do with some more pic's with better lighting when you get the chance.
To clarify a difference between a short -tail and a Blood ,below the eye's a Blood will have 1 scale from bottom of eye to top lip ,a Borneo short-tail will have two scales one bieng called subocular scale .
Again regarding Morph ,Bloods will change colours with age and true reds start out as a tan/brownish colour ,within 2 yrs though you'll see what he his forsure ,look forward to some more pics
