green anaconda sick!! Plz help!

My green anaconda caught the RI infection... For the past week, I raised the temperature but having trouble with the humidity. i keep hearing conflicting views on humidity. Some claim its best to raise it while others say to lower it. I tried raising humidity but symptoms seemed to got worse (bubbling, wheezing). When I tried lowering it, snake became more lethargic still an occaional bubbling, but symptoms subsided alot. Should I continue keeping it in very low humidity? Also, Im trying to get baytril, but wont be able to treat her for a weeks and a half. Will it be too late by then?

She really needs the treatment now. Its only going to get worse and harder to get rid of.

You need to get cultures done so that you know which antibiotic will work, just randomly treating with baytril could cause more issues than it solves. Get the snake to a vet sooner rather than later.

Re: green anaconda sick!! Plz help!

I had a conda with an RI. Fixed it by raising temperature a bit and humidity. Especially for an anaconda bump that humidity up to 80 or so. My conda was smaller so I put in a washer dish that was about 6 inches deep and took up about 3/4 of the enclosure. I also placed a large branch connected to a rock base in the middle of the water so she could rest on along with a little land left over. She never used the land. The humidity went up easily and tempos were raised. Within a couple weeks she was cured. Any pics? How big is the conda?

My anaconda's a baby.. Only around 3-4 feet. So I should raise humidity? I tried that but she started bubbling soon after which wasn't the case at first...when I lowered it, symptoms lessened but she became increasingly sluggish

Yes I would raise it. An RI can be fixed without meds depending on how severe it is. I'd increase the humidity and temps, and give her a couple weeks.you should see improvement within the first week and don't offer food until she's cleared up, shell be fine without it.
