Re: Blitz in his new home..
I have had him for roughly a 1.5 yrs.. I don't tend to mess with him or take pics often. He is very much a look and don't touch snake. He wants to eat my face off.. lol

Re: Blitz in his new home..
Thanks everyone! I can't wait to get the rest of the stuff for in it. It will look amazing then. I will take a picture tonight to show you guys the lights that we installed. The viv sits on my dresser right at the foot of my bed so I will get to watch him at night if I wake up...lol Although I won't have his light on at night only in the late evening for a little bit.

Awesome setup!
Everyone seems to have better luck than me with those fake plants. I once put some in Spot's cage and I started to smell burning/hot plastic after a couple days...

I don't have the plastic go near the heat source.. I don't see how it would cause a smell As long as you use a thermostat and a radiant heat panel. I can only see it causing a smell if you use a ceramic heat emitter or light bulb for heat. The pro products radiant heat panels feel cool to the touch but do a GREAT job.

I was using a radiant heat panel and a thermostat. The plant was maybe 8 inches from the heat panel. The weird plastic smell subsided as soon as I removed the plant.
Somewhat nervous to ever try it again...

That is VERY odd.. I would set up an empty viv and then try a silk plant. I just went and looked at mine and the 2 top ones in the viv are silk not plastic. The only plastic one is the one that sits on the bottom of the viv. I simply put that one on the bottom because it was heavier. Maybe that is why?

Well I got it at Petco, and I'm pretty sure it was made by Exo-Terra. I just checked on Exo-Terra's site, and a plant that looks similar to the one I used and had bad luck with is listed as silk.
Exo Terra : Hanging Rainforest Plants
^looked similar to "Abuliton"...
