Question. Help!

Ok, I looked around and couldn't find an answer elsewhere, maybe I missed it.

I've always had male snakes before, had this rescued female BP for 3 years now. This is new behavior, I understand some of it, but still have questions.

For the last two weeks or so, she has been curling up in a circle, under her water dish, spine outwards, almost belly up, not her normal position. She also seems lumpier. So, I thought, maybe she's finally decided she's old enough to breed. What she's doing matches pictures I've seen of ovulating females.

So, smart person I am, realize that we got a male ball mid-April, maybe she's triggered off him. He's only 9 months, wasn't planning on breeding them yet, if at all.

The question I have, I have been told she won't lay eggs if they don't mate, but will this behavior quit after a while?

Re: Question. Help!

Thanks. I find it a little hard to believe that there isn't someone on here who doesn't breed but has males and females in the same household.

She shed the other day, while she was still under her water dish, very odd for her.
