I live in the country and my cats got a hold of a baby (really small) rat snake. It seems to be mending well but I think it's too small to eat pinkies. What should I feed it? My husband fed a snake a daddy long leg spider a while back and the poor snake died as a result. I don’t want to make any mistakes. Our goal is to let the snake mend then release it.
I really appreciate your help. The snake is only about 6 inches long and skinnier than my pinky finger. We have a couple of grasshoppers in with him now but he hasn’t shown any interest.
