Lumpy female??
First time breeder here. I keep looking at my female with my fingers crossed hoping she is gravid. Today I noticed she is lumpy like finger slots on a pistol handle. Anyone know what this is? My pair lock 3-5 times a week that we notice so I assume it's more than that. Also she has eaten recently but I have never seen this before.
Thanks

Re: Lumpy female??
Sounds/looks like she's gravid, assuming she hasn't eaten her mate recently

Re: Lumpy female??
How long has she looked like that? If it's just today and she doesn't look like that in 2 more days, she's ovulating and you just happened to catch it. If she's been like that for a while now, chances are that she's gravid and they're growing enough to be visible now.

Re: Lumpy female??
Today was the first I have seen of this. They were locked this morning so gravid or ovulating make me happy

I will have a few. Most are spoken for but thats all just talk until they go.
I'll keep you posted. Eva our female is from Salmon Boas in the states and sounds like she has great genes. Fingers crossed. Very excited. Also what a great way to teach the kids about life and how it starts. Awsome!!

Thanks!!!
Our hope is to just have some healthy babies. If they are all normals I really don't care. As long as mom and babies are healthy we are a success!!

There is nothing like the sight of seeing little faces peeking out at you from momma's Enclosure!
