Re: Carpet Breeders

Depends on what you're looking for but there are tons of great breeders. Will you be attending Tinley or are you looking for a breeder that will ship to you?

Re: Carpet Breeders

Unfortunately I won't be at Tinley, and I would preferably like to pick it up in person, I should be going to a couple of the smaller shows in Omaha and Des Moines

I might drag you to KC next time they have the show there too.

Re: Carpet Breeders

I gotcha. Do you know what type of carpet you're interested in?

You'll definitely find some great resources there. The reason why I asked if you'd be at Tinley is because the same breeders on that site usually set up an entire area known as "carpet row" at Tinley. Best of the best!

It's tempting to buy at local shows and usually cheaper since you're not paying for shipping, but I'd try to make sure you're dealing with a top notch breeder. There's lots of questionable carpets with unknown lineage floating around, but you actually won't pay too much more for pure quality animals with known backgrounds. Not to say you won't find good stuff at local shows. My Boa Cabana IJ is high quality, pure from WC lines and I bought her from them at my local show for $75.

Re: Carpet Breeders

My vote goes for Luke and Jason Baylin. 3 of my current 5 are from Luke, adding 2 more in the next month or so with 2 tigers on the way from Jason at the same time as well. Both super great guys to work with and their animals are outstanding!

Re: Carpet Breeders

Thanks Shaun! Both snakes you mentioned were produced by Luke. I look forward to seeing how that IJ pairing goes for Eric this year now that he owns them.
