Canadian burm breeders

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm looking for a good, reputable burm breeder in canada, preferably Ontario. My collections is mainly ball pythons, some Suriname boas and a couple colubrids and I've never gone as big as a burm before primarily because of space restraints. I've just bought a new house with a massive walk in closet and I want to convert it into an enclosure for a burm. I was thinking about having it renovated with a clear acrylic locking door, tiled floor and sides with some heating/lights installed in the ceiling and some sort of heating on part of the flooring - maybe heated tiles that are regulated by a thermostat? And then I can lay my substrate over the tiles and convert one end of the enclosure (it's L shaped) into a big soaking tub. It's up in the air right now so anyone who has any experience converting something like this into an enclosure - pls share tips!!
I'm looking for breeder referrals and tips on the enclosure… thanks in advance for any help

The only amazing burm breeder is Canada is Chris Oxley, the easiest way to reach him is either by phone 226 789 1500 or on facebook.
What are you looking for specifically? he only really does albinos, greens, albino greens and the like. Hes got some hets, and a bateater also.

I'm thinking of either an albino burm or a caramel burm or I really also like purple albino retics. kinda torn…

I don't think caramel proved out in burms, did it?
As far as I know, their genes are limited to green, albino, hypo (super form is ivory), labyrinth, and granite.

Regarding purple albino retics, your only 2 suppliers within canada are me and Mike Large, he will have some cooking in the next few weeks, so in about 100 days they should hatch, and in about 120-130 days they should be for sale. I'll have some breeding next season at the latest.

Burms and retics are totally different animals, one is really heavy bodied and is a little slow when it comes to movement, and one is active and still a little heavy bodied.

I love how inquisitive and active retics are - a good friend of mine keeps retics and they're always watching everything through the glass and moving around. I've just always been planning on an albino burm for yrs now. Always said when I had the space I'd get one but I'm starting to sway more towards the purple albino retic. They're stunning!
Can someone tell me the average size of a male retic?
Also temperament - I've spent a bit of time with both - more with retics) and they seemed pretty docile. The burms just seem calmer. And the ones Ive seen have both been pretty easy to handle (temperament wise).
I do like the slim physique that the retics have - especially with suck a long snake…
I want to make the right decision here because my current collection takes up so much room, Im limiting myself to one very large constrictor - already have my surinames and they take up a lot of room too.
@stephenbakir - so you breed retics? Do u breed the purple albinos?

Average size depends on allot of things, If I were to ballpark the average mainland albino male, I'd say 12-15 feet at 5+ years old if you don't overfeed him.
Both retics and burms are calm in their enclosures, retics are super active outside of it though.
Purple albino retics are from bob clarks tristrain albino, it comes in white purple and lavender. Once my current pair breeds I'll have clark strain albinos, platinums, albino platinums, ivories, ultra ivories and leucistics. I'm getting a load of retics in the spring, so I'll have more to chose from then.

Am I incorrect that there's caramel burms? I havent seen one in person but there's pics of them online…

There is are a few caramel burms, but they have not proven out to be genetic. There is however a caramel retic, and they are fascinating! they are born like a whitephase albino, and as they reach sexual maturity they turn the darkest purple imaginable

I saw a couple pics online of them / they are stunning! I could only find pics of babies though…nice though!!
I've got a thing about the caramels - the balls, burms - just such a nice rich color!
