Re: My little shelf idea
Nice, had something like that for a while.
You can cut a rubbermade tub to fit and insert it during shed, turn the underside into a humid hide

Re: My little shelf idea
The whole setup looks great.. Leave the shelf, they will use it a lot.

That's a cool idea too, they never have problems with shedding as is, but that's cool.

Thanks Yeah, it's been there for few weeks, i just didn't have a computer to post it, i think I'll leave it. They use it a LOT i put their favorite hide up there, as you can see, so they're up there 90% of the time. It's a weak build, so i may make another, and it minimizes accessibility to water bowl and stuff, so it makes some things difficult in that small cage... but I'm keeping it. I like it, they like it.

Re: My little shelf idea
It looks great! That last photo of the two little ones in the coconut hut is adorable. I really like the shelf idea. I'd do it for my ball pythons but I highly doubt they'd use it

Re: My little shelf idea
Garter snakes don't need a humid hide.

Yeah, they do quite well without it. My snakes have shed perfectly in 40% before. I don't even mist the cage anymore.

Re: My little shelf idea
yeah, they like it. I knew they'd use it, but this is ridiculous.

Re: My little shelf idea
Thanks I try to make my cages big, full, leafy, and natural looking. I don't do tubs, I don't think anyone should house garters in tubs.
