feeding question
Hi all,
Got another question to toss out, this one on feeding. I was reading my book on Corns, it was saying they will eat chicks and even chicken eggs, but should only be given occasionally as a treat. I'm assuming only an adult could handle a chicken egg. Do they swallow the egg whole then spit out the shell or do they digest that as well? What kind of chick could my babies handle? I know a chicken chick would be too big. Idea? Suggestions? Comments?
Thanks in advance! Michael.

Re: feeding question
I believe they are talking about adult corns. However I would stick to feeding it mice/rats. If you do feed it something else there is always a chance it could get hooked on that Item and not want to take anything else.

Re: feeding question
Stick to mice man, for the reason Kat mentioned. They don't need "treats"

No such thing as a dumb question.
My adult corn has never had anything except mice and rats.

Re: feeding question
well, my opinion is not the same as those above. I've never fed chicks, but all my adult corns eat mice, rat fuzzies/hoppers and rabbit pinkies. No-one has refused any of thier meals (except Khuno in shed) They all gobble down whichever is offered no problems.

Sort of reminds me of a joke about Morris the finicky cat (won't eat anything but 9-lives). "You don't feed him for about 10 days... he'll eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich...and like it!"
