Oh happy day!
Today was a pretty good day (FINALLY!)
So a few weeks ago I had this chick, Nadilyn, custom make me a necklace in the shape of a pic of Schnitzel in a heart-like ball, in the colors of an AoD morph.
And today, I took an hour transit ride to uptown Manhattan and met up with her again, and she gave me 15 rats for my snake. Best part of all: free. And good thing too, cause I'm broke. -___-
Nadilyn tells me they're medium rats, but they honestly look like smalls. They're about 3 - 4 inches long, and maybe an inch and a half wide, give or take.
So I thawed one, peeled back the towel to show Schnitzel and MAN, for the first time ever with me, she was alert and licking at the air. I opened the latch and put the mouse near her and she coiled back and then sprang forward and curled around it.
I'm so happy that she ate it... (:
I checked on her not too long ago, and she was super friendly...until I moved her away with the hook a couple times to get her water bowl out...she was not friendly when I tried putting the water bowl back in. Nearly gave me a heart attack every time she made a strike at me.
Thing is, the water bowl in her tank is a thick, glass square. It's like 7x7x7 inches and the sides are about 1/3rd in thick, the bottom of it being about an inch thick...and then it was full of water. So it was really heavy and I had to slowly set it down and all.
I'll never get over my fear of getting bit, lol.

Under my care, it's only been three weeks, and that's because I fed her 6 pinkies that time because I wasn't even sure she would eat.
But before those pinkies, she hadn't fed for close to a year. She wasn't in my care at that time, either.
