my importer just got my snake tuesday, and i was only able to get him yesterday evening. i figured he would be really stressed from all the moving and changing of hands but i also figured he might be hungry so i bought him food. and last night and all of this morning he seemed completely disinterested, and after about twenty mins of teasing him he took it from the tongs!
such great news, and hopefully a sign of how he's going to be later on.
yes and no, the way the system is set up (or what my importer has told me) is that the mother and father are completely wild caught and have a fenced in enclosure in the wild. so i'm not sure what you would call it, since the snakes have almost identical lifestyle to ones in the wild, but are still given medical care, food, ect in their locales.
