Snake Cruelty on Prime time TV

There is a show in the UK called something like "I am a complete **** and the only way to get on TV is to act like a complete *****" (or soemthing like that!)

They put some so called celebs into the australian jungle (a hotel grounds) and make them do stupid challenges.

LAst night two of them had to get a key from a small box - inside the box was what looked like a Coastal Carpet (but definitely a carpet of some kind) - the box was WAAAAAY to small for the snake and both guys got bitten - i think it is DISGUSTING that snakes should be allowed to be treated this way, just wish there was something i could do.....

I see crap like that on American TV also Rob.

On the other side of that one though, The scene from Inbetweeners where Blake Harrison punched the trout until it was dead would never have been allowed on US television.

Johnny Knoxville is mental, only on MTV can someone get rich for acting spastic & juvenile.

Once upon a time, they actually aired music.

Lol, i am with you there!! Used to switch to MTV to watch music vids but now it all seems to be reality shows, spend most of my music time on "the Box" now.

my wife watches the tv programme and always shouts me through when snakes are on it

could be worse it could be that bear gryls guy who bites a few lumps out a snake he's just killed to show you how to survive in the wild

Re: Snake Cruelty on Prime time TV

ya that bears gryls guy sleeps in hotels when hes doing the show from what sources say during the first season, now the show has a disclaimer that the things he does are set up so he can demonstrate survival. I seen that episode where he killed that snake and ripped it apart, now that i know he just killed the poor snake for tv time, it makes me sick. i used to think the show was good but now its a joke. Go survival man, he hardly kills anything during the show, but he has to as he is surviving out their, he does all his own camera work and everything. mostly eats bugs, but shows you great survival tricks, not like the bear guy that pole vaults down mountian cliffs and puts himself at Huge! risk of injury during a so called survival show. wouldnt survival time be the last place to be doing said stuff, more like be real carefull becuase a broken leg would most likely be fatal. last thing anyone would want is to be non mobile.... stupid show to say the least.

Re: Snake Cruelty on Prime time TV

It's nothing special when it's on TV, there is always back up medical crews and cameras, helicopters...the standby ambulance just out of the cameras view.
