I picked him up to just a little over an hour ago, it's been a hectic day of running around. I have to say, aside from the fish tank he lived in his living conditions were deplorable.

He had no heat. His bedding and climbing things were covered in urates and feces. Water bowl was filthy.
The guy that had him was terrified of him, Never picked him up on feeding day. I was thinking to myself, if you feed this snake 1 live mouse every two weeks, I guarantee he is always hungry. This is one of the calmest most laid back snakes I have had the pleasure of handling.
Currently he is Blue, so I'll be curious to see how he lightens up after his shed.
He is right around 5' long, and a bit underweight. From what I have read from the experts here I may have a chore trying to switch him to F/T rats. He hasn't eaten in two weeks, should I attempt a feeding any time soon, or should I wait another week or two? Should I start with a large rat right away or should I try a small one? Thanks in advance.
And without further ado......Here's Vern
