Re: *is trying to think of something creative to put here*

Hey there. Welcome. Which island are you on? hahah
I'm Jess, and I currently keep crested geckos and other rhacodactylus species, bearded dragons, a veiled chameleon, green iguana, ball python and savannah monitor..I think thats it! BRBs are beautiful snakes, I hope to have some one day.
I have actually been serisouly considering getting a hedgehog, can you tell me a little bit about how you care for yours? Diet, housing etc?

Haha Gabriola Island..
and yeah hedgehogs are great pets.. their usually timid at first, but htey warm up to you.
Mine is kept in a guinea pig cage, with a wheel, flattish glass ferret bowl, log cabin thing with a ferret bed inside, some cat toys, a litter pan in the corner(with ferret litter) and of course a water bottle( a larger version of the hamster kind) I use paper towel for the substrate, its easiest and safe.. for her diet she gets an assortment of kitten kibble, canned kitten food, hedgehog kibble, fruit, vegetables, meal worms, crickets, lean meats (suck as turkey and chicken) i usually alternate between those, she doesnt get all that in some day =P Hmm... and thats about it =]
And i've heard they like diced boiled eggs, but i've never tried that myself, cuz I dont like boiled eggs XD

Thanks. I've heard the hamster style water bottles don't always work well as some hedgies can't figure it out lol. Do you cook the chicken? Did you find it difficult to litter train? How often do you handle yours?
Can you post a picture or her and her enclosure?

Re: *is trying to think of something creative to put here*

I definatley cook all the meat i give her, but make sure its not seasoned
She figured her water bottle out just fine =P i did try a water dish when i first got her, but she kept shoving her kibble in it XD
ill post a picture once i get one, she doesnt really like cameras so i dont have many pictures of her( cept for a few on my phone)
litter training wasnt difficult at all, it came second nature to her, i didnt even have to train her =P and i handle her almost every night.. depending on if shes awake and not busy hehe
