Those are such cool little snakes. I really want one, but I can't justify feeding it anoles, which are not cheap where I live, and I have yet to find any that eat rodents. Best of luck with her; she is GORGEOUS!

Thank you for the compliments, I am sooo happy with them. The anoles where I live are only $3.00 a piece here but people with give you a discount in you buy bulk. I am going to try to breed them to cut cost. That is what I have been doing with my fruit flies for my frogs.

I am going to try feeding them rodents or even small birds (maybe????, I like birds) and hopfuly when I have young ones (fingers crossed) that is the only thing that I will feed them if they take it.


They are small now but they can grow up to 6.8 feet and get as thick as a medium size branch.

they are inquisitive creatures..i have a male and once had a pregnant female...the babies are very thin like angel hair pasta with big heads...it was very hard feeding the babies they only took newbon geckos and anoles "go out at night and catch them as there sleeping" thats the best way.. good luck with keeping them there so beautiful the males have a crest when agitated like vertical cobras.. very nice tank setup the only thing i would advice is put some thick tree branches somewere in there to rub scales off

Thank you for the info about the babies. I have 3 pieces of wood in the back of the tank that I think will suite them for shedding, thank you for your suggestion though.

oh and they will take frogs aswell " i used greenhouse frogs and cuban treeforglets"

if anything just go by a local pond take some frog eggs "they dont like toads" and rear them till there out of water and youll have a very good supply of feeder frogs for awhile.

Well I wish I had a pond near me but I would have to go up north for that. Living in the desert sort of sucks for tropical or sub-tropical or even temperate animals.
