You are having problems finding them because they are not legal to keep.

As stated millipedes are no longer legal to keep or sell. You will only be able to find them if someone wishes to sell them on kijiji or another similar site to it.

Agriculture Canada has banned any type of foreign insects most likely because they don't want a possible infestation. I personally believe this is quite silly considering Giant African Millipedes literally die very quickly if there very hot and very damp environment is even slightly off... I am aware that they are illegal, however I keep hearing of people who find dealers in Toronto, but I, as of yet, have not been able to find any...
