Boa wont eat hes been lost for 2 months

okay about 2 months ago, our red tail escaped, we presumed him dead seeing that the house is also full of cats and dogs and a codamundi, i finally found him last night, he was so cold, and kind of pale looking, today we went and got a mouse for him to eat, and he went ahead and constricted it and killed it, but its been about 3 hours and he still wont eat it, now I've been reading about shedding and how they sometimes don't want to eat when they're about to shed, and i haven't found any skins around the house, so i figure hes about to shed, is this why he wont eat or is there something else i need to worry about, the reason I'm worried is because i don't know if he's eaten anything since he's been missing, and I'm so in love with this snake i don't want him to die, please help!!!

i had a corn snake get out he was gone for about 3 days i think he ate somthing while he was gone. your boa might be going into shed i would leave it alone for a couple of days i waited about 5 days before i feed my snake

I went through the food issue if his eyes are clouded over/ different then they are usually then hes goin into shed mine ate in shed (really weird) but I doubt its in shed it depends if he shed just before you lost him maybe but even a week before missing I doubt it usually around 7 weeks after shedding they shed so maybe one of the other animals got that ( usually shed wont move lol) but if I were you id take it to the vet asap so just in case it has somthin wrong wit it. they probably could get it to eat too she made mine eat (it had no interest in food) and I hardly had to do netin.
