Ok so I moved down from New York to Florida a little while ago and my friend is coming down today but he left my baby behind my beautiful 7 ft red tail boa and my mom is petrified of it and i cant exactly drive up and retrieve it does anybody know how or if it is even a possible to ship a snake i know ups and usps dosen't take snake... i also don't trust them either way.. is there a special mailing service for animals? any input would be very helpful thank you!
When i was looking for a snake breeder, i noticed alot of them used Fed Ex, over night, all over the us. But not to canada-.- Anyway try them. If that many breeders use them they have to be of some good.
Fed-Ex is currently the only place that allows shipments of live snakes legally (However it is about a 1 month process to get verified through them to do it)...unless you go through Delta Airlines (but then you have to pick it up at the airport).
It's a Federal Offense to ship them through USPS (Postal Service) So don't do that one.
However a possible better option for you would be to fine a reptile breeder or dealer in your hometown contact them and tell them what you want to do....most reptile people are happy to help out when stuff like this arises....and at least then you could do it legally.
