Where to buy BP

I've just ordered my cage from Boaphile for a BP that I want to get, and I would like to know where to go to get the snake, so that when I get the cage set up I'll know exactly where I'll be getting the snake from and won't have to search for a good breeder then.

I live in Waco, Tx so anything I get is gonna have to be shipped to me (highly doubt that there are any reputable breeders in the area).

That being said, where can I get a good BP? Any websites? It seems like most of the ones I go to only have a small selection of very expensive morphs. All I want is a normal BP, preferably a yearling that is already an established feeder etc; I'd like a female, but a male is fine too.

So any suggestions/list of good places to look for a captive born BP?

Here is some info

There are many good breeders and many thiefs. You can do research by going to ball python sites and see who those breeders say their snake lines are from. I have used NERD (new england reptile ditributors). Very well known, excellent animals. Been to there facility and it is amazing. Having said that, I just had my first clutch with NERD snakes (a 100% het albino male with a normal female). My son and I (age 9) bred them and 2 of the 4 eggs hatched (not uncommon in a snakes first mating season.

if you dont want to buy one off the internet, i would suggest going to a local reptile show. You will often find very healthy animals for very cheap prices. that being said you still have to check the snake over thoroughly and make sure there are no problems. you could easily find a baby ball for $40-$50 maybe cheaper and a yearling wouldnt be much more expensive. whatever you choose to do, good luck and keep us updated!

yeah, a reptile show would be nice since there would be no shipping involved, but I live in Waco - there are no local reptile shows
