Nelson feeding problem and breeding weight question

Hello all,

Well I picked up a pair of Nelson's at the daytona show 2 weeks ago. I have a female het for albino and a male albino. the female is about 2.5 ft (sorry, I'm american and don't know my metric!) and the male is a bit smaller maybe 20". Anyway the point is that they are not hatchlings, the must have been eating for a while. The male however is very finicky. He at 2 f/t mice right off the bat and now he has refused mice since. I now have a live fuzzy, and he won't take it. I am going to try it again tonight. The temp is 82, hes in a bin with water and a hiding spot, sitting on pine shavings so he can hide anywhere, its very secure. I even tried putting a towel on top of the tub... I heard I could try scenting with anoles, but I just don't get why a snake of this size would all the sudden stop feeding.

Also, whats your thoughts on an appropriate weight/length to breed nelsons?
