I have had my 6 month old leo for aproximatly 4 months now, if I put my hand in the tank she will get out if I wait long enough and some thimes she walks on my hand to get to the other side of the tank.
Do you have some tips to help me tame my leo?
What should I do so she gets on my hand and stays there till im put her on the ground?
I have been putting my hand in the tank 2 days out of 3 (I leave her alone the day she eats) for about 1 month.
Don't be afraid to lift up whatever hide she's under, just be careful if it's something heavy. Start slow. Slowly put your hand in front of herand with the other hand gently tap her back legs. Do this for just a couple minutes a day. When she is comfy resting on your hand then progress to lifting your hand a couple inches off the floor of the tank and increase the length of time. It's better to be patient and go slow than to rush it and risk stressing the leo. I hope this all makes sense. Good luck.
I have found that every leo is diff i have one leo that loves to be handled from day one and another that turns its back to me every time i walk in the room? I find when i talk to my leo's everyday they seem to relax a bit?
