Infertile eggs!? Plus some good news!!!

One of my females have now laid two clutches of two eggs. This is her first year breeding and she is big and healthy. All of her eggs have looked fertile when laid but when candled there is no visible development inside. I am somewhat puzzled. I have another female (also her first year) and she was bred to the same male and she laid one fertile and one infertile egg so far. The one who has not laid a fertile one so far this year was the first breeding of my male. Would it possibly make her lay some fertile eggs if I bred her to the male again before she lays? She just laid yesterday so she will only be starting to develop the next clutch now. I know the male is not the problem and she seems to be be doing everything right except producing fertile eggs. I understand that first time females rarely get everything right the first time breeding but I am a little worried. Sorry for the long winded question. By the way all of the eggs are very white.

They both look pretty good to me, throw them in the incubator just to be sure, many people have been fooled here, including me

I don't even know why people bother with candling there eggs enless they don't have enough room in there incubator to keep infertile eggs too....

That is pretty much the case right now for me. I have a Hovabator and it is serving it's purpose but there is not excess room with the digital thermometer and the extra water dish to keep humidity up.

By the way I candled the eggs and some of them are starting to appear to have embryos developing in them when they did not for the past few days.

Josh, you really don't need a water dish in there.
All you need to do is fill your incubating container 3/4 with moist vermiculite and poke just one hole on the side, and the medium will stay moist throughout the eggs term, there will not be any need for a water dish with this method.

In regards to the female that's laying infertile eggs, I would definently re-breed her, I just did that with one of my females that laid an infertile clutch, you can't go wrong, 90% of the time it does the trick.

Try using moist peat moss in your egg laying containers, i used to use vermiculite and it didn't work as great as peat moss.
