I have two albino kenyan sand boas that will not eat. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get them to eat?

Have you tried putting them in a very small container with the pinkie mouse? I have one that is a fussy eater, he eats this way most of the time. I put him in a deli cup with his mouse, it has to be live or he wont take it. Thank god my female is a pig, she eats anything offered f/t or f/k.
If that doesn't work wait a week or so and try a paper bag. These two methods work for my guy. I have also heard of holding off on the water for a few days and offering a wet pinkie.
Hope that helps, I"m fearly new to snakes so maybe someone else has some better ideas. I was told that the best thing to do when they don't accept is to wait a few days in between before trying again so they don't get to stressed.

how long have you had them, how many meals have they eaten for you or in total and what are your sets up like. If you just got them which I am guessing you did then give them a few weeks to settle in and then offer food, I usually offer at night or later in the evening with the lights out, that works the best for me. Good luck

I have had this problem before and it has turned out bad in a couple cases when I was new but now I figure out what they want and find a way to please them. Try seperating them and warming them up, this helped with one of mine. If they continue to not eat what helped one of mine survive was we force fed her mouse tails, this was after a month and a half of not eating. Another thing I have tried is offer the food with bedding to hide in. I know it is not good if the snake injests bedding but my male will only eat if he can sneak up on his prey from underneath it. Good luck. Let us know how it all turns out.

They ATE!!!
HI!!! They finally ate. We got two live pinkie mice, scented them with a gecko, took their water out and left them over night. The male ate both that night. The next day we did the same with another pinkie and took the male out. The female ate with no problems... Thank you all for sharing your ideas!!!

Out of my 8 my breeding male is the biggest problem. He wont eat during mating season. some of my young males have a thing about eating when noone is looking, they have to be left alone and over night.

snakepit, they should not be housed together. snakes are solitary, and the stress of living together is easily enough to make one or both go off their feed. they may seem to be fine, but stress is the black hole of reptile health.
