I got my first snake today and I am ecstatic. It is a beautiful baby male Suriname. Just want to see if my setup is right for him. He is in a 75gal tank with a medium 30-40gal Repti Therm U.T.H on the far left of the tank. Then I have a 150W day light in the center, and a 100w ceramic night bulb next to it. He is laying on Cypress bedding and has a good sized water bowl. I wish I had a digital camera, I'd post a pick(still using film lol). His tail is soo red and he's got bat wings and a pink hue on his belly. Thinking about putting in some branches for a better visual. Will the snake climb on them? Is the setup O.K.?
LOL, ya get branchs. You will probably find that the only two places you will find it is the water dish, and the sticks. So make sure s/he can sit comfortably on the sticks, and can swim (not really swim) around a little in the bowl, and clean water. Have fun, thats a great snake you got there, and probably my next one.
Daniel
