I think that Juvenile may be another species. I recently went to Bruce's house and he has a species that looks just like that. From what I've seen, the juvenile widows are usually brown.

Brian, many widow species have the hourglass shape on them, not only L. Mactans. I'm saying it probably is one of those other species and not the common black widow.
