I have a african tortoise (baby? It's about 4 inches long). He's eating well and seems active but there is never any feces in his cage. He has blackish green stains on his hind end and around his mouth. I am assuming he's eating his own feces though I've never seen him do it. Does anyone know what this means or what to do about it?
I would pick it up as he goes, he can't eat it if it is not there. To make him go soak him with a bit of water that use my sulcatta go every time, make sure the water is dryed off before you put him back in the enclosure.
