Silica (blizzard) pics!
Despite being the most gorgeous snake in the world, I can never get a decent pic of her. Vanan took some excellent outdoor shots of her with daisies, but I seem to have misplaced them and I've posted them enough.
So here's another lame attempt at taking pics of Silica, my blizz, who finally at long last has a male whom I approve to make beautiful white babies with! (thanks Mark IsBell!)

What I really love about this girl is that she has very little yellow. I'm pretty finicky about the yellow thing. In fact, Silica has never had a mouse that wasn't black or white b/c I do not want to introduce xanthins into her diet.

I really like the lack of yellow. That's super sweet. I also have a had time taking photos of white snakes like Simon mentioned, and those are great photos!

Does this mean that diff. colored mice could have an effect on the yellow on the white in the blizzard? I have never heard of this. Forgive me if this is a dumb question. JIm

There is some anecdotal evidence that shows that beta carotenes in snake/lizard diets can increase yellow/orange.
I believe Serpwidgets did a little test with some baby normals and the ones fed with mice injected with beta carotenes were more orange.
Actually, if us humans eat a lot of carrots, orange will show up in the palms of our hands and soles of our feet. Kind neat, eh?
I will try to get pics of the charcoals!

I have a young male blizzard and he is the cutest! He used to be very shy and would hide immediately whenever I approached his enclosure, but now he actually comes out to see what's going on--especially if he smells dinner! He'll let me watch him when he eats now too. I love my blizzard boy!
I love your pictures too!
