when laying eggs

I have a question Im relativly new to cresties so I do not know the answer.

when my females are ready to lay their eggs what should I provide them with for doing so.

is a rubbermade sandwich size container suitable enough full of dirt.

I have 2 sets of 1.4

I don't know just how big those things are, but I wouldn't go any smaller than a 2 lb margarine tub. Since they like to dig right into the dirt, disappear completely like they prefer to drown themselves in the dirt, they need a fair bit of elbow room. My preference for cresties and gargoyles is a plastic ice cream tub, those big round jobbies, used to be a gallon before metric took over. Fill it about half way with moist peatmoss and let them do their thing. There's less mess this way too, sometimes they really like to kick the dirt around.
