Rough scaled python... wow!
WOW, anyone ever see these, look at the chompers on these things.
I grabbed these pics from a post off of moreliapythons.com:
From what Ive read its the only python with rough/keeled scales in the world, its found in a remote part of western australia, and only a handful of specimens have been found since their initial discovery in 1976. Apparently there are a couple of animals that have recently made it into private breeder hands... so maybe with time, we will see their numbers grow
FREAKING COOL!

That snake is amazing............yet slightly scary. LOL!!! Crazy teeth on that thing. Probably give an ETB a run for their money.

Here is a good page for brief history:
http://www.reptilepark.com.au/animal...atID=15&ID=101
Some interesting points:
Probably the rarest snake in Australia
only known from around ten snakes captured in the wild
The species possess possibly the longest teeth of any snake, particularly in relation to body size.

This snake makes me wonder what other snakes are out there that we have yet to discover...
Hmmm that gives me an idea, Mod's, how about a forum for RARE or newly disocovered snakes/herps?
