I FOUND MY CORN SNAKE TODAY!!! LIKE 10 MINUTES AGO!!!
IM SOOOOO SOOOOOO HAPPY!! I CANT STOP SMILING!!
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED....
so..i gave up on looking for it cus i was convinced that it had gotten out some how and i had looked everywhere possible (or so i thought). oh..and i was gunna go to a show this saturday to buy a new one to make me feel better.
anyway..it all happened when my mom and my grandma were cooking some paki food..and it smelled very spicey..which kind of irritated me...so i went around the house and started opening all the doors and windows. when i finally got to the last sliding door near the family room i pulled the blinds up and unlocked it..then i looked down and saw my long-lost snakey coiled up near the door looking up at me!! i was sooooo happy..i couldnt believe my eyes. i picked it up and examined it..and put some fresh water in its bowl and put it in its tank. i think its much happier now..and active. when i picked it up at first he was sort of sluggish..but is now moving around its tank actively! all it needed was some heat, water, and some food..so we're gunna go pick up a new pinky for it in a lil bit.
ps. when i was examining it i saw something weird near its booty..near the end of its tail on the bottom..i'll post some pics in a bit..see if you guys can help me figure out what it is. oh..and i plan on taking it to the vet in a few days..to get it checked out and to get probed. btw...it seems like its about to shed in a day or two!!

here are some pics of what i was talkin about..all these are on its side/underside near its booty and end of tail..i was wondering if the fact that its in shed has something to do with it...??

When I saw your post I actually felt as if it was my snake I was so happy for you lol.

As for the boo boo I would wait untill it sheds and see what it looks like since its in shed now it shouldnt be much longer and could give time for it to heal. After it sheds if it is still there and looks bad I would take it to the vet right away.

lol..im such a scardy cat. i took it to the vet today on our way to the pet store to pick up some pinkies. she (the vet) said that he prolly just hurt himself while he was out. so she gave me some cream that i have to apply twice a day its called Sulfasalazine Cream..have any of u heard of it or tried it on ur herps?? she said its the same thing burn victims use..and that its great for reptiles. i asked her if i could get him sexed and she said no cus hes too young..so i think im just gunna call him a him for now..lol
oh and i put 2 pinkies in a feeding container with him and he goes near it..tastes its..nips at it..and moves away. im gunna leave feeding container in his tank with the lid off over night..hopefully he'll eat atleast one by tomorrow morning.
anyways..im sooo happy and excited!! im gunna go to the show on saturday and instead of a new snake..im just gunna buy a whole lotta stuff for MIRCHI (nguyen..grrr..lol).

I think he knew that.......

It was the way you worded it.........doesn't bother me none, but you could inadvertantly offend alot of people easily by saying something like that. No worries.

hiya by ur phones the tail is pretty long so i would guess that ur corn is a she rather then a he lol!

oh..well.. i apologize if i had offended anyone..i was just making it clear in case ydnic or anyone else wasnt sure. you're right..he probably did know..and ur right i did word it kind of funny..but just to be clear..i wasnt trying to be an a****le about it.

Perhaps they'd calm down, Lioness, if you informed them of the fact that you ARE Pakistani, so that they would know you meant nothing by it.
