Thumbs up EVE and her future...

Hi there folks:

Its Emerald time, put a little dash of character, a sprinkle of attitude and a lot of sugar and your get a little girl like this Emerald Tree Boa.

This is EVE, a boa that has shown alot of promise in last few months. She is being kept by my friend at his house because he stopped me from doing the undetaker job. Originally she was from a group of 3 Emeralds that were shipped rather improper to me from a guy in Calgary, even after I told him how to ship she and the other 1.1 Emeralds came all in bad shape. Though I was not expecting much I was rather surprized how disappointed I was on delivery day. In the end the other 2 were shipped back and warned that he should not ship or sell them to anyone because they showed signs of disease (RI). The male itself had a jaw problem that in 24 hours did not correct itself. Later those 2 were sold and bought and the end result they died I believe.

The good news was this girl she was small but better than the others over all. She even ate after 6 days which I was surprized. Then soon after decided not to eat for almost a month. I decided it was a lost hope to try and get her 100% healthy because even though they were sold as CB from USA to Calgary, I doubt it and expect pure WC. All these reasons were why I decided either the freezer or my friend would keep her.

Well she went on medication and dewormers and was started on food right after. She should easily eat a jumbo mouse as all my collection did at her size. But she loves the hopper mice instead. About 3 weeks ago I was ready to let her see the deep freeze but she has improved alot and eats more regular even though the meals are small. Defecation is normal, urination is normal, she seems to be more alert than ever, not a striker but I do not handle her much till I see her look much better in time.

She is settling in well but will stay at my friend' s house for another 1.5 years before I can consider her in my collection.

Everyone meet EVE a female, possible WC Emerald Tree Boa.

Thank you for viewing.

Cya...

Tony
