Odd feeder....

Our female jungle carpet is a weird feeder, she attacks the mouse right away, constricts for awhile, then lets go. Then if I offer the mouse to her again she doesn't even constrict, just swallows. The male grabs the mouse, constricts, and swallows the prey.

Does anyone else have a female like that?

I used to have a snake like that, a female but not a carpet. She'd never constrict as a baby, just eat stuff because it seemed to be in her way

Out of 158 this year, I'd say over 100 did that at least once. It is HIGHLY common.

It has nothing do with being a female carpet.
