i was wondering if there is a way with out probing (because i don't know how) to tell what sex they are i have heard that sometimes you can tell by the spurs??
You might as well just guess then. It takes a trained eye to have an idea just by looking. Get the snakes probed or popped (if they are young). That's the only way to know for sure.
If it's just a pet, take a guess and go with it. If you're planning to breed, get it done properly or you might cost yourself several years on your breeding project...
dumerils are very easy to sex by the spurs. males have visiable easy to see spurs and females have very small spurs that as babies sometimes you have to feel them to know their there.
