How can you tell if a ball is a yellow belly?

From the pictures I've seen it looks like the main thing is that the belly has very little if any dark pigment on the three belly scale rows (not just the middle one). They belly may or may not have yellow mixed in with the white but it looks like all the normal black on the belly was broken up and pushed to the edges resulting in the edge of the belly having lots of broken up black spots piled together. It also looks like the black pattern elements coming down the sides tends to fade out in the middle near the belly. There may also be some signs in the dorsal pattern but they are too subtle for me to pick out in the pictures.
