please help

I got a couple of snow corns in july and 1 week after getting them 1 died. I had that 1 replaced. Now just recently the other snow corn was regurtating it's food. This went on for almost 2 months before he died. Now i have a normal corn and she is starting to do the same thing. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this?

How often did you feed them and what sized prey? How old are your corn snakes including your normal?

I have no other snakes in my collection. I have a few spiders. My temps are 85 on the warm side and 68 on the cool side. They are being fed f/t 1 day old pinkies. The only 1 i have left is the normal corn and she is 2 months old and yes i am getting them from the same breeder.

I dont keep Corns, but 68 is low IMO.

How often are you feeding? Its a good idea to give them awhile after they regurge as well.

Otherwise it may just be the breeder....but I dont want to jump to rash conclusions.

I would think 68 is a bit too cold for them, everything else seems fine though. How often do/did u feed them?

They get fed every 5 days except if they regurtate. Then i wait 7 days to feed them again.

I don't hold them after they eat. They don't get held too often.

Every 7-10 days is a good feeding schedule to follow IMO.

When I get babies I stick to that schedule...and every 2 weeks when they reach adulthood.

If they regurge you need to wait 2 weeks until feeding again. The reoccurring regurging is a direct result of not doing this. Also for Corns temps should be at least 75 on the cold side & 85-90 on the hot side. The cool temps were probably the cause of the orginal regurge & the feeding too soon afterwards along with the cold temps is why it keeps happening. Also there is a possiblity of a respitory problem due to to low of temps also, but not that likely as they aren't that cold really. Also possiblity of internal parasites causing the problems, also probably not likely. Warm it up & wait at east 10-14 days before feeding again & lots of fresh water is important. You should probably get some pediatlite (available at drugstores) to mix with the drinking water for extra hydration for the little one. These are all things the breeder should be telling you if you are telling them everything. Your other snakes continual regurging is due to not having a chance to rebild its stomach fluids before you fed it again & it probably got more & more dehydrated with every regurge before finally succumbing to it. Seems like you need to find another corn breeder. I keep my snakes with awarm spot of 85-87F with a cold area going sometimes as low as 64F. Don't have regurging problems. As long as the snakes can raise their body temps up to above 80F they're ok. It's understandable if one snake does it, but if all these corns keeps doing it there's some other underlying problem.

It could be that the first corn was sick and passed on something to the other corns (bacterial infections can cause regurgitation). Sounds more like a breeder problem.
