Lightbulb why is it a jungle ?

Just wondering what make a jungle corn a jugle corn and why it is called that?

A jungle corn is a cross between a cornsnake and a california kingsnake. I think "jungle" is just a name thought up by the first people that produced one. I don't think it means anything.

I think the 'jungle' designation was originally because the non-albino versions look a bit more like carpet pythons or burmese pythons in their colors and intermediate patterns - they lose some of the tyical saddle and band appearance of the parent species. People thought they looked more exotic and junglely.

Other corn crosses have been called 'forest corns', 'super corns', 'turbo corns' and similar names. It is unfortunate in a way, that the corn part tends to stay with them because many people mistakenly think they are pure cornsnakes.
