JCP has the way cool factor going on in that they have arboreal habbits. Boas do climb sometimes too but I don't think they are as known for being partially arboreal as JCP. Boa are normally calm right from the get go where JCPs need a little work to calm them down. Both are variable though. Speaking with regards to cages JCP will need a smaller cage than a red tail boa. This will mean less money and less space in your home. A smaller snake also eats smaller food which is also cheaper and usally easier to get. The last thing in the world you want to do is put them in the same cage.
