Don't worry, they can eat those without any problems. They almost all the time grab it by the head and you will realise this bud doesn't even bite when you squeeze it anyhow.

I wouldn't worry about the size as long as your leo is a sub-adult. I raise my own supers and have tiny ones that even 3 months old leos can manage without a problem.
Here's Anne, the most superworm addicted leo I've ever had, showing how to handle superworms like a pro.
I Came....
I Saw....
I Conquered....
It's a myth, .... honest....

They have comepletely different needs. Mealies need dry substrate where as supers need moist.

No,no,no i mean in the bowl can i have the mealies in the same feeding dish as kings? Also yesterday night,i tried to see if my leo would eat it,i think she remembers the last time she ate them...shes in the mealie dish as usual at 1 am so i take a king worm and toss it in the dish her head switches directly at it she stares...stares...goes into her hide! Then i tried queezing the end of the kingworms tail and it was wiggling like crazy infront of her...i think shes to traumatized to eat kings...

In the wild a leo can take down a scorpian, I wouldn't worry about the worms.

All my leo's get mealworms or king worms as a staple and i toss a few crix in once or twice a week....i try to stay away from giving my leo's supers as they are a lot more pricey
just my two cents,
sheldon

Superworms might cost more, but they're more economical in the long run. One full sized super is equivalent to approximately 8-10 mealworms, possibly 12. That means 2 supers can be a full meal.
