i just had to get him. he is very old. not sure about 12" long 8" wide and has alot of shell scratches and a fairly good chunk out of the corner. he wasnt treated very well and underfed. just wondering ive never rescued a turtle and will the shell grow back? i wasnt really looking to get one. i just couldnt leave him. so if anyone is willing to take him thats awsome. but otherwise ill be taking care of him.
It is about setting up an enclosure. As for the shell damage. If it is superficial, it will heal, but if it is down to the done, the bone will not heal and the scutes covering the bone will not grow over that.
You need a minimujm 100G tank or a pond with strong filtration.'
ok well oin another note a freind of my moms lives on a farm and actually has 3 turtle ponds and has good experience with them. They offered to take her so i think thats where shell be spending the rest of her time. the lady said that she is very old.
