Finally, finally, het ghost hondo eggs!!
from this pair
this morning she had her clutch completed (I never get to see them lay - bad timing!)
nine eggs, no slugs - so now I am just hoping these are really fertile.
The male was a real gamble - had been tried a couple times before with no luck, so I got him as a non-breeder. I hoped he was just young - and he certainly was willing to breed this spring. I wasn't able to check sperm plugs at the time of breeding, but at least I have eggs (will likley candle in a week or so).
Now the next waiting period begins!

What a nice clutch of DH Ghost...
Those eggs are all fertile Mary, now you need an AD albino female to make Triple Hets!
Wink, wink....

Thanks everyone! I am pretty excited about this clutch!
Marc - no kidding - an albino female would be perfect, but they are pretty hard to come by! Know of any available??! I really wanted to prove one of these two male ghosts out this year on just my normal females. Now I will be looking to put this guy to work!
Producing triple hets is the greatest possiblity - in a breeding program they are just ideal because from one snake you have so many possible results depending on what you breed them to - especially if you breed to any of the double morphs! Hondos are just great.
