At this point still nine eggs. I candled several of them and they were fertile. Nine seems to be a fairly small clutch for the species. Have you raised this one since a youngster? I'm guessing it's the first time she's been bred? Regardless, nine is better than none!

How large did you say your other female is?

that female was raised from a hatchling, I think it was a '02 but I'd have to double check. without a doubt though its the first time that she's been bred. my other female is now only slightly smaller than her say around 5'. nine does seem like a small clutch but then she might double clutch and who knows how many she'll produce next time.

I hesitate to ask, but she didn't eat your male did she, I've heard so many horror stories I just have to be sure?

lol - NO!

I have kept them together for the entire time I have had them. I spereate for several hours at feeding, then introduce again. I've only had your female for abour 2.5 months so they seemed to have gotten down to business rather quickly!

If you think that five footer is old enough to breed we might try throwing her in with my male as well. I think I'd be a bit more careful with that one though.

They are suppose to lay 2+ clutches yealry. Do you want me to hang-on to her for a while?

Dave why don't you hang onto her for a while longer and we'll see what happens. I'm up for trying the five footer, will you be attending the PCPC show, I could give it to you there?

Who's this Jordan kid that keeps posting Brandon? Do you know him?

Grant- as usual, couldn't have done it without you! Keep up the good work.

Yea I'll be at the show - I can grab it from you there. I'll beef up the female I have now and try again. Can hardly wait to see how many rats I go through lol
