Mix. Mealworms all the time usually in a dish so I guess they could be considered my staple...crickets once a week, and any other feeders I grab when I go to pet stores or the show maybe.

I prefer mealies in a an ashtray since my leo lives on sand and has almost no risk of getting impaction

our babies get mealies and crix, our females (range from juvi to adult) get king worms and a few crix, and our two males get king worms, super worms, and a few crix

King worms are bad for your leos. All they really are are mealies on steriods.

I feed mealies as a main diet with a weekly treat day of crickets or wax worms. I have too many insect eating critters to be able to afford silkies!

Kings aren't mealies. They are sometimes referred to as Supers as well. I think the mealies on steroids are usually referred to as Giant Mealies... at least they are around here.

BTW, our staple is mealies 24/7 with a mix of butters, silks, crix, and Kings through the week with an occasional wax as a treat (once a month or so).

Kings are mealies supers are not the supers are just "worms" from a more moist environment were as king worms are just mealworms fed a hormone so that instead of putpating they just keep growing.

superworms, and mealworms are completely different species!

superworms, which are commonly purchased in Canada aren't steroid fed, they're just a different species, a larger species.
