Leo Ready To Lay Unfertile Eggs HELP!

I need to know how to tell if my albino female is gravid, shes been getting real fat in her stomach but not tail...also i think she might be ready to lay because it looks like there are eggs in her stomach they are white orbish things in her stomach,But i got her in december...and she had colour maybe she was 2-3 months old...and she hasnt been with a male so the eggs will not be fertile...shes gonna lay anyways right? But anyways im scared now what can cause a leo to become egg bound and etc...this laying eggs sounds dangerous and i think mines gonna lay her first clutch ever soon she is on repti-sand... how much calcium should i be giving her and what kind?

Ok how big should the orbs be???And also...Shes on repti-sand is this bad???Its not calcium sand repti sand...no calcium what so ever...but she eats ALL her food in her tall mealie dish...but that being said i cant dust mealies...how much should i dust her food out of a week...also instead can i substitute by her licking the calcium off my finger? If not ill buy cricks...i get her to eat them by throwing it into her hide with a floor surface(not sand)

Hi there. In my experiences even a young leo that produces infertile eggs can lay them quite normally. I think that as long as she is getting plenty of calcium she will be fine. You can dust mealies by placing them into a food dish and just sprinkle on some of the calcium dust once or twice a week. You can also use the lid from a pop bottle or any small dish and just put some calcium into that, the gecko will eat it when she needs to right out of the dish I think you have done good not giving her crickets because you use sand. In my opinion sand is not safe, but so many people use it (even some breeders) that I suppose if you take precautions it's not always the worst thing. Also, you can very easily tell if she is gravid by looking at her belly through something clear. I like to place them in a deli cup to check. The ovals will be about nickle sized, one on each side. Good luck with her, I think she'll be fine, just get that calcium into her

Yeah but i hear about Od-ing on vit-d3 can a gravid female OD on it???Also the mealie dish is an ashtray around 1.5 inches high off the sand...as for the calcium in the bowel i do do that...but right now i only have vit d3...also she is an albino she very fat but is only 28 grams...6 something inches long...i assumed shes gravid because her body is huge and her tail isnt to big(its not a regen im sure) the tails pretty fat but the body is just huge compared to everything else i see about 2 ovals but i do see some blue viens and a bit of other blues is this normal to see in an albino???And how far would the eggs be from each other im pretty sure i see 2...i heard it can take up to 100 days to lay is this true?if not how long?

Yep, you want the D3, unless you have a UV light on your leo(which you don't need anyways).

You can only use one or the other, or you can actually overdose your leo on the D3. I would recommend only using the powder and keep the light for something that isn't nocturnal

Has she been with a male in the last couple of months? if so then she has a good chance of laying fertile eggs. Like I said by the looks of it you should expect some eggs within the next couple of days!
