Hello!
I see all these photos of BRIGHT yellow or green GTPs, and they all seem so bright and shiny almost... like they have been clear coated ro something
Mine is sort of a dullish "matte" yellow / green mix..
Is there something I am doing wrong?? Its like she looks like she is going to shed all the time.. but that isnt the case because she is a good shedder....
Could be many reasons, maybe its the lighting that you are veiwing your chondro from. It could be that you are thinking of the "High end" critters and you have a more ordinary (a relative term in GTP's) animal.

My GTP was SUPER shiney when we got him but now as he has started changing more (yet slowly!) he is dull looking all the time.

That sounds like mine.. she was bright shiney hellow as a 6 inch baby, but at 3 feet now and a year old, she is sort of between yellow and green and a dull color.....
