I use Shareaza, absolutely no ads and after using it for about 6 months, I haven't had any viruses downloaded onto my computer.

I'd rather support the musician and buy the CD. If I like an artist, I usually want everything they do, not just one or two tunes.

I'm with Scotty, if it's an Artist i like, i have no problems spending the money for their CD.. Especially now that the prices are so low.. But if i DO download music.. I get it from www.suprnova.org

I used to use Kazaa, but, now I rely on my friend's FTP sites.

HMV, MusicWorld...

If I'm in a bind and need to download (usually only when doing a project for someone) , I use Kazaa.

Though I do admit to being HOOKED on Napster back in the glory days!

I would buy the cd if it's a canadian musician. To help our own, but for the others, I rarely download, I always end up listening to the whole cd and buying it if I like it, if not, oh well, ask for requests on the radio lol.

For downloading I use, Imesh ( www.imesh.com) its fairly simple, but when using any program I suggest downloading Ad-aware 6.1 its a free protection software, great little thing, cleans all the "hidden stuff" that come along with most sites and programs you download off the net. Its great. It can be found at tucows.com, the link below should take you right too it, if not just go too tucows and search for it. I recommend it for a Everybody. if you have a music download program or not, You’d be amazed what this thing finds that you didn’t know was downloaded too your computer.

I use kazaa, winmx and Irc to get stuff.

if it's a band i like, i buy their cd to support them, also, my car cd player is too old and doesn't play burned cd's.

I used to have an ftp server, but i moved and changed ISP's and stuff and never got around to setting it back up again.

I use Kazza Lite as well.

I refuse to pay for music because of the fact, I barely listen to it as is, and when I do find a song I like usually I don't like the rest of the songs on the CD so I'm not paying for a CD that I'm only going to listen to one song from. If the musicans want my money produce better music, instead of just CD filler.
