army colored w. hognose
Ok, I don't have any pics showing it. I can't get a good one, all the ones I get doesn't show his true colors.
I look everywhere online and all I see are tan/brown or red colored hognose (aside from the other morphs amel/albino etc..etc...)
Well I noticed that my hoggie is more greenish, and *behind* (going from head to tail) each little round greenish circle is a little red line. I didn't realy look at the ones on his side.
On his face on his *lips* (Lol) it looks like it is on the edges of the scales there is little red lines on them as well.
On the large greenish circle (behind his head and a little to the right) instead of being one solid color it has a white spot inside of it.
I doubt it is any special morph, lol.
But I just can't find any pics of w.hognose with these colors!
So I guess my question is, if you have a w.hognose with these colors and a really good digi camera or a really good pic that shows these colors please post them!

haha, i think that is a green w. hognose.
Chris
Maybe its an Abberant Pattern? Could it be a cross between a green and a red?

there are green morph hognoses?
I don't think so, the place I got him from bred them right there, the only ones they had were normals and maybe a few albino/het for albin in the back.
can a green one show up in a cluth of normals? It is genetic or random?

ya something like that. ours looks like it has red lines going down it's sides (from head to tail) and on the *lips* red lines going down (about the *height* of the nose and down)
I found a website that showed a hognose with the same color green as a dollar (u.s) He is not quite that green. But as I said, more of the army colored green. We can really see it when we get to his tail.
Is a green "morph" genetic or is it just a random thing?

YES there are green hoggies. The original pair i was going to get was red het for green, but he stopped eating, and turned a really dark color, and the breeder didnt want to give me a non eating snake.

really. I don't know if thats possible....all they had were normals, do they look like normals when young (around 6 months) or did no one just pay much attention to the colours?
well I just got off the phone with the dealer/breeder.
And it turns out that they do have green w.hognose that they breed. But they also have red w.hognose and normal w.hognose. He said they don't breed for colour, but for a healthy snake.
Guess that answers my question. Thanks everyone

oh he's doing great. About 1wk ago he ate 2 live mouse pups (they had light fuzz and their ears were open).
And we are getting some today.
Plus we just found out that he's a green w.hognose. Now all I need is a red hognose, and i've got christmas snakes! lol

David,
They are doing great! They are living up to their name, they are real hogs when it comes to eating.
