Question Boa help??

I just got a 5-6' male boa. Eating great, great size every thing is great. After about 2 months he went into shed, not a problem until the day he was trying to get it off and now he was acting like he had IBD. He kind of lost his balance. HE had troubles moving his head, mostly twisting radically. He has calmed down a bit now but still a bit jumpy around the head. It looks neurological to me but I don't understand what brought this on.He is with other snakes. Unless he got hurt some how by my big female that is in the cage with him?. Any info would be great.
